This idea came about one day when I was looking over some street photography that I had taken. There is always a story that is told with each picture. So I have taken this as an on going project for a love letter to Houston.
The Studewood Marlin
Growing up in Houston and commuting on i10 this is a piece of art that stands as tall as the highway sitting at Studewood Park.
Harvard of the South
Many people know the Rice University in Houston as the Harvard of the south.
No matter how many times I drive by downtown Houston this building always catches my eye.
Right around the corner from the Wortham center is this marvelous piece by David Addicks. A well known Houston Artist, who has multiple pieces around the city including the Sam Houston Statue that sits on I45.
Old town feel! On 19th st between Yale St and Ashland St is a small strip of old fashioned building in the Greater Heights. This is probably one of the places i enjoy driving down the most in the city.
